My Favorite Video Game

by Steven LeDrew

There are all kinds of great video games for the Xbox 360 and the Sony PSP. From great sporting titles to whimsical fantasy games to rough & tumble army games, there have been some great video games released over the years. Add to that fact that the music and soundtrack of today's video games are so well orchestrated, that they belong in a feature film or on your Apple iPod Nano, rather than just on a video game.

One of my all time favorite video games is one for the Sony Playstation and the PSP called Medievil.

This is one of those video games that is both addictive and challenging at the same time. As Sir Daniel Fortesque, you are the main character and hero of the game. And, by the way, you're also dead. However, through the magic of Playstation Portable video game technology, you come back to life to defeat the evil wizard once and for all. It's a simple premise that has been seen and played on many video game platforms, from Nintendo to the Microsoft Xbox 360. However, on the Sony Playstation and the PSP, it is a great looking game that's fun to play.

This game is loaded with everything. The soundtrack for this game is definitely iPod Nano quality. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie - with you as the star! The voice work and graphics are some of the best that you'll experience and play on the Sony PSP.

There are many big time and big name video games that get all of the hype and the press. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. Sometimes, a smaller game gets released that becomes a total and must-have game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that's it's available on the Sony PSP, it's even better than ever!
