Before you even put up a website you need to grasp what your market will be. This means you need to perform deep keyword research. Even if you think you know all about the niche market, the mistake most of home business owners make is to assume their Internet market or niche is saturated with hungry buyers with loads of money.

If your online niche is popular in keyword searches but no one is spending cash then your efforts will be wasted.

Once you know you market that will permit your future website to bring in money, you can begin researching products and services that fill the need to that market.

Make a plan of your web site. The essential point here is make sure you add plenty of quality content that the search engines will love.

Lay out your skeleton structure of your web site. This will be the navigation and content layout.

Check out your competition. Review how they are pre-selling identical products or services. This is also known as back engineering the competition. Increase internet traffic to your site:

1. Social networking 2. Blogs 3. Pay per click advertising 4. Forum signatures 5. List building 6. Article submission etc. etc.

Expand adding quality content and your web site likely jump in page ranking and the search engines will love your web site.
